PRIMER REGISTRO PARA PANAMÁ DE LA “MOSCA GIGANTE” Opetiops alienus (Hermann)Y DE Pantophthalmus bellardi (Bigot) PARA LA PROVINCIA DE DARIÉN (DIPTERA: PANTOPHTHALMIDAE).

The monotypic genus Opetiops is recorded for the first time in Panama with the capture of one female of O. alienus (Hermann) in the Province of Darien. This species was known only from Colombia, Peru and Brazil. Pantophthalmus bellardi (Bigot) is reported for the first time from Darién Province, Panamá. General aspects of the biology of the Pantophthalmidae are mentioned.El género monotípico Opetiops Enderlein se registra por primera vez en Panamá con la captura de una hembra de O. alienus (Hermann) en la Provincia de Darién. Esta especie era previamente conocida solo para Colombia, Perú y Brasil. Pantophthalmus bellardi (Bigot) es reportada por primera vez para la Provincia de Darién.
